This year, I’m dedicating my campaign in the memory of a true Chinatown YMCA legend… Louis Kwok! Luis was a charter member of the ARO‘S service club, which recently celebrated their 75th anniversary.
Louis will forever remain one of my biggest role models at the Y. He was the first ARO to join the Board, served for 30+ years and was the most successful fundraiser in our 115 year branch history.
The entire Kwok family helped create the Y we continue to serve in our community. We would not have the building we have today without Louis’ leadership in raising $12.5 million in the Capital campaign. A true hero!
